About Captain Jim Wood

Ah' the smell of warm creosote on a hot summer's day while playing around Ketchican's waterfront as a kid has forever branded deep into my soul. I left Alaska in the late fifties, to resettle in Bellevue. From there, joined the USN and served 4 years. 3 tours in Vietnam as task group radio teletype operator, Yankee Station. Back home, I married Barbara and together we cruise all around the great Pacific Northwest waterways. Soon, our 5 grandchildren will take turns running the boat as I nod approval.
